Why MarketAlong Data exists.

We begin with your business and the market you want to develop. Defining that target precisely is the first piece of work, and it shapes everything that follows. MarketAlong Data exists to do that part first, and to stand behind what comes out of it.

Where we chose to focus

The prospecting market splits into three layers, and each one hands the same piece of work back to the customer.

Infrastructure

Access to web data at scale. Genuinely impressive engineering, and it assumes you can specify exactly what to collect and build something to do it.

Databases

Pre-collected companies and contacts. Excellent coverage in the visible parts of the market, and it assumes you already know which filters describe your buyer.

Orchestration

Workflow across everything above. Powerful in the right hands, and it assumes you have those hands and the time to design the workflow.

All three are good products, and they work best once the target is already clear. We chose to work one step earlier: on who you should be selling to, and the evidence behind it. That is the whole of our business.

What we hold ourselves to

These are not values in the poster sense. Each one costs us something, which is the only reason it is worth writing down.

Source context in the specification

Which fields carry source context and a checked date is agreed in the specification for each project.

We say what we could not confirm

A visible gap is cheap and a hidden one costs a call. Publishing our own blanks is uncomfortable and it is the point.

Clear boundaries, published

What we will and will not collect is set out on the pages themselves, so the scope is clear before a project starts.

No number we cannot substantiate

No accuracy percentage we have not measured, no coverage claim we cannot show, no revenue outcome attributed to us. This page is short for that reason.

Where we actually are

Most pages like this one carry customer counts, win-rate improvements and a wall of logos. We are not going to put numbers here that we have not earned, so instead: MarketAlong Data is early. The method is settled, the standards on these pages are real commitments, and the published case study does not exist yet because the results that would justify it do not exist yet.

Where we are today. This is an early-stage service, and we would rather say so plainly than imply a scale we do not yet have. When there are real outcomes to report, they will appear here with the method attached — and if they are unflattering, they will still appear.

Being early is also why the first engagement is a short, bounded piece of work you keep whether or not you continue. You should not have to take a new supplier on faith, and we would rather be judged on one real market than on a page of adjectives.

Part of MarketAlong

MarketAlong Data is the data and prospect intelligence division of MarketAlong, which works on digital growth for businesses. This side of it exists because the same question kept coming up on the other side: the marketing was working well, and the question of precisely who it should reach deserved its own answer.

How we choose to work

  • Not a coverage race. We are not trying to hold the largest set of records; we work to a specification you approve.
  • Not a self-serve tool. The part we do well is the judgment, and that does not survive being turned into a filter panel.
  • Not an outbound agency. We do not write your sequences and we do not send email on your behalf. Different business, different reputation to look after.
  • Not priced per contact. Work is scoped and quoted per project rather than sold by the record.

Judge us on one real market.

Start with one market and a written target-market definition, agreed with you before the work begins.
